Ana Maria Oancea

Ana Maria Oancea is a Bergen based composer whose experience encompasses music for varied projects, such as short and feature artistic films, animation, documentary, theater, music for contemporary dance performance, electronic and acousmatic compositions, concert music, as well as sound design for film and video games.

Her classical musical education began as early as 6 years old and evolved around piano performance, followed by a Bachelor in Composition at the National University of Music in Bucharest, Romania. At the moment, she is completing her Master studies in Composition at the Grieg Academy in Bergen, Norway.

Ana Maria Oancea’s portfolio covers a wide range of artistic projects from independent films, animated shorts and theater productions, as well as own music projects both acoustic and electronic for which she uses both acoustic and digital media.
