Event 1: Witch Club Satan and HEX – The Process Behind a Feminist Black Metal Documentary

Join filmmaker Maja Holand and museum curator Kristian Krokfoss as they unveil the creative journey behind the highly anticipated documentary on Witch Club Satan. This in-depth conversation offers an exclusive look into the feminist performance art project and the black metal band Witch Club Satan, whose three-year “pact” immediately captured the attention of both the public and the media. Still a work-in-progress, the film follows the raw and immersive process of crafting an artistic vision over several years. Attendees will gain insight into the challenges and triumphs of documenting this boundary-pushing group whose fusion of feminism and black metal is rewriting the genre’s narrative.

Event 2: Composer and Sound Designer – A Musical Collaboration for the Screen

How do a composer and a sound designer collaborate to create an unforgettable cinematic experience? This event delves into the process with composer Anna Berg and sound designer Gisle Teveito, who bring their work on Drømmer by director Dag Johan Haugerud to life. Moderated by musician Kristoffer Lo, this session reveals the creative challenges and triumphs in melting music and sound design, exploring how these elements coalesce to elevate the narrative on screen. Attendees will gain insight into the delicate balance of creating mood and atmosphere in film and witness the dynamic interplay between two essential facets of storytelling.
