Composer Raymond Enoksen and The Trondheim Soloists brings Secrets of the Spy Whale Soundtrack to Life.
We’re thrilled to announce that composer Raymond Enoksen has teamed up with the internationally acclaimed ensemble The Trondheim Soloists to create the evocative soundtrack for the upcoming BBC documentary Secrets of the Spy Whale. Recorded at Øra Studio in Trondheim with sound engineer Jo Ranheim, the soundtrack provides a powerful backdrop to this gripping film.
Airing on BBC Two on 13th November at 9 pm, Secrets of the Spy Whale investigates the enigmatic story of a beluga whale found wearing a harness labeled “Equipment St Petersburg,” a discovery that sparked intense global speculation about espionage. The feature-length documentary delves into the mystery surrounding “Hvaldimir,” tracing the hidden history of military-trained marine mammals from the Cold War era to today’s international waters.
Raymond Enoksen’s stirring composition, brought to life by the precision and artistry of Trondheimsolistene, underscores the documentary’s themes of intrigue and exploration. Together, they’ve crafted a hauntingly beautiful score that amplifies the film’s dive into the shadowy world of marine mammal intelligence.
